Weston Millward

On June 14, 1974, Weston joined his father, Edward Millward, working as a full-time Insurance Agent in Los Angeles, CA. He quickly became licensed and within 6 years was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Agency. A few years later, Edward Millward retired and his stock was purchased by Weston. Fifteen years later, the purchase agreement between father and son had been paid in full; including interest.

Weston soon realized that creating exclusive and specialized niche insurance programs in specific industries was much better than being a generalist. This tactic, although somewhat new in the late seventies and early eighties, has created the Agency’s robust growth, focusing in the commercial insurance arena.

Back in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, Weston wrestled, played football and baseball. His football team was extraordinary, losing only 2 games in 5 years, winning the coveted C.I.F. Championship in 1971. 3 NFL stars and 1 MLB Hall of Fame inductee were some of their competitors during a grueling senior year season. These intense athletic competitions in the above sports created experiences which shaped his future business career.

Weston has had a little more time for big game hunting, backpack hiking and lifting at the gym. He has been heard to say that it’s been quite the ride from his initial start with only his father and one secretary 40 years ago.
